Now then, I've started this blog as everyone seems to have one recording the ups and downs of their life except me and I'm wondering if I'm missing out in some way? I've subscribed to facebook but am becoming tired of that whilst becoming more and more addicted to associated online pointlessly addictive game playing such as 'Bejewelled Blitz' and 'Bouncing Balls' which I have mastered as much as I want.
More to the point, I've decided to share just how much one can procrastinate rather than do the jobs they want or don't want to. I'm beginning to think it's an actual medical condition! Maybe I can write myself a sick note excusing me from certain tasks. How would it go? Lets see....
'Val is unable to paint today as she is ......
- Creating an urgent blog
- Catching up on recorded TV so she can delete them to make way for new programmes
- Going shopping with her sisters
- Making tea
- Sorting her husbands invoices out for his business
- Checking in with family and friends on the phone/facebook elsewhere to see if all ok
- Enticing stray cats into the house to keep warm from this very inclement British windy weather
- Putting clothes away which have hung around the house for 2 weeks making it look like a Chinese laundry.
- Going to the bank
- Checking her online account before going to the bank
- Making scribbly notes of possibly unusable bits of interesting information heard throughout the day to use in her work
- Etc, etc, etc....
You give me a task and I can find 101 ways of procrastinating in order to avoid it. I'm now agonising over the draught layout of this new blog and it's eating into my above list of 'things to do'. I'm asking myself questions such as content of subject matter and have I thought about this enough?
Did I let the reader know more about my background? Should I... ? Would it make more sense?
I'll fill you in later..... things to do, places to go, people to see........
I never seem to finish anythi
